Welcome to Marist Catholic School

A Welcome message from the Principal:

A very warm welcome to Marist Catholic School Herne Bay. We are a Catholic School close to the central city, serving the Catholic Communities of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Herne Bay and Sacred Heart in Vermont St, Ponsonby.

As a Marist School we follow the Marist Charism; where we think, feel, act and judge in the way of Mary. We work at being others’ centred, showing our RICH values and Maori Values in all our interactions. Our RICH values are Respect, Integrity, Courage and Humility and our Maori Values are Whanaungatanga, Manaakitanga and Arohatanga.

You will find our school to have a warm, friendly atmosphere. Our staff are hard-working and committed to the growth of all of our students - academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.

The Board of Trustees are dedicated to supporting all areas of the schools governance. As Principal of Marist Catholic School Herne Bay, you will find me to be open, keen to listen and engage with you and your whanau. I look forward to an open and warm relationship with you and your family over the time that you are associated with our beautiful school.

Please feel free to make contact if I can be of any assistance.
